This is a business meeting to discuss upcoming events and management of the organization.   All current active AOOP members are welcome to attend.

We are beginning to form ideas of a conference in the spring of 2026. As in the past, we would gather in Chicago and attend a day's program at the University club in Chicago. Here are presentations with confirmed presenters:

• Values Based Leadership and mental health: Emily McClary and Team - MBA Students and Graduates from Northwestern's Kellogg School of Management
• The psychological strain of chronic illness at work: Karen Knoop; so Harvard Business School
• When grief hits the workplace: Gina Pingatore, PhD, senior executive Facebook (Meta) retired, Daven
• Early adverse events and altruism in leaders: Myles Yarman and David Morrison
• Impact of teaching the work history on formal psychiatric Evaluations in the psychiatric core medical school clerkship: student doctor Alvin Phan

This is a forum for members to discuss, learn, support and coach each other on all things related to organizational and occupational psychiatry.   

We want, and need, to hear from you as our organization grows and develops.  When we gather over the next six months to discuss cases and mental health issues in the world of work, we will be dedicating time to get input from our members on future directions for psychiatry in the workplace.  Current topics include: 

• Employee mental health in remote work
• Dealing with charged ideological topics
• Ongoing cases and challenges in our own practices

Remember that this is a unique benefit of membership in AOOP and all AOOP members are welcome to attend.  Please join us.  I think you will be glad you did.
